Rushing development for the platform while having ten thousand other things on the task board. Unbelievable, right? And no one really know if we could finish all the task but what we should do is just try our best. Anyway, despite being busy and all I told myself I HAVE TO blog about Joomware Roadshow recent location which is in Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman, KTAR just last Monday. The team was overwhelmed when Joomware Community receive support from KTAR's lecturers and dean. We are overly excited when the date for this seminar was fixed on 18th October 2010. Wonder why? Because most of us in Juzit are from this very same college located in Setapak.But, of course that was years back.

First of all, this is the first time we are using the social network apps we use for the community. We did some integration work for our clients, but never have we really use it as the user. So, as our new members who just joined the community trying out this apps. We are also doing the same thing. We discover different things everyday and we hope members did too.

It's a little different today, there were two others presenter for the talk this morning. One from Microsoft to talk about MSDNAA; providing free Mircrosoft software for students to do research and development. The other one is Josephine from MDEC to promote on business idea and business plan competition among IHL. Kevin and I were there to encourage students to come on board of Joomware Community. There is somehow a synergy between all three speakers.

We will wait for Joomware Crew to make the announcement and publish the site when the time's right.

Members can sign up for free and get updated news on our community activities as well as the Joomware Platform. Although only 40% of our website content is available for now but I am sure members will indulge themselves in our Lounge and Forum. As promised, the first five from each user group who signs up as our community member will have the privilege of being our platform beta-tester and will get to try our latest applications before it is launched for lifetime.

Development work starts officially today. We want this platform to complete as soon as possible, so most of our resources are placed into this project. We did a lot of R&D, but sure hope that the community will provide us with more feedback later. 

Like Joomla, we want to offer Joomware as a free platform. We welcome other developers to develop their applications on this platform. We want everyone to have fun and enjoy being a part of Joomware.

CEO as given us the deadline. We need to run our beta version in October and then proceed to launching in November. The team is divided to work on different area. Some to develop, some to plan on marketing and launching while others help out in any other way.
