Today, we have the honor to meet the Diploma students of INTI College in Nilai. We were there to provide an overview of Joomla and Joomware for the students. Our first mission towards creating a community resides among the students IHL. We believe talents should be nurtured from the root of education and Joomware can assist these students to reach out to the market even before their graduation.
There were nearly 100 students in the hall today, I have gotten Joomware Crew to post more photos in the lounge gallery. Some of the students have heard of open source technologies and minority heard of Joomla. Because Joomware is built on top of Joomla framework, we hope the students can also learn from the basic.
INTI Diploma students are passionate towards technology and there were quite some questions raised during the FAQ. We are actually very happy that the students took the initiative to ask. To build something big, it should start from asking questions.
I would like to quote a question asked by a student who appraoched me after the talk. He was wondering how do open source businesses earn their profits. I think this may be a common question in a lot of people's mind. There are a lot of business model for open source technologies to earn profit. Most importantly, all businesses whether proprietary or open source should always innovate and and enhance their product becoming better. Hopefully, someday we will be able to talk to the students about entrepreneurship so that we could share all these with them.
